Community Matters

About the project:

We learned from Covid-19 how communities can support each other in a crisis. From our experience as a CVS we also know that ordinary people getting involved in their community in small ways can make a big difference to people lives and the places where they live.

This project takes an approach to community development which is asset based; finding out what’s strong as well as the challenges individuals and groups are facing within their communities. We listen, we connect people and groups with information, other people or funding/resources that can help, and then support them further if they need it.

About our team:

We are a small team of Community Development Workers who have skills and knowledge gained through many years working with people taking action on things they care about in their communities….people like you.
