Short-term financial support for those who are struggling to afford food, energy, water bills, and other related essentials

The Government has extended the Household Support Fund, and Teignbridge CVS has been allocated money to support Teignbridge residents aged 16+ facing financial hardship, this is just a part of the wider Household Support Fund.

Our portion of the fund prioritises those impacted by rising living costs, especially:

• Carers
• Vulnerable People
• Living with a physical or Learning Disability

Funds can also cover other essential not easily budgeted for, assessed on a case-by-case basis. However, RENT/MORTGAGE debts or arrears are NOT eligible

Who Can Apply?

Applications must be submitted by:

• Voluntary and Community Sector Groups
• Health and Social Care Providers
• NHS and DPT Teams
• Primary Care
• Education, Police, and Fire Service
• Faith Groups
• Jobcentre 

Direct applications from individuals are not accepted – See below if you are an individual, you could apply in alternative ways.

If your application if unsuccessful and you believe important details were missed, you can request a review. Where needed, Teignbridge CVS will consult Teignbridge District Council.

• Citizens Advice Devon –
  Energy & Water Relief Scheme offering fuel/water vouchers and energy-saving items like heated throws or body warmers
• DCC Early Help –
  Provides grants to families on low incomes. Applications via professionals working with the household
• Teignbridge District Council  –
  Individuals can self-refer

All schemes run until 31 March 2026, or earlier if funds are used.
