Bovey Tracey Youth Café have organised some training for its staff in ‘street work’. We have some free spaces available for this if you are interested. (normally £75.00!). The training is being delivered by SPACE Youth Services at The Station, their Newton Abbot Youth Club which is behind the Newton Abbot Leisure Centre. (The Station, Wain Ln, Newton Abbot TQ12 2SH).

On the face of it – Street based training is just youth work but outside, right? This training course will look at the reasons why we would need to engage in Street based youth work, who you might want to attract, balancing the desired outcomes of funders with good, value driven youth work as well as the practical application of how you would carry out the work. This course highlights the importance of street based youth work and centre based youth work, existing in collaboration.
Who is it for? Anyone who works with young people and wishes to learn more about engaging with young people away from centre based youth work provision. Ideally, but not essentially, you would have experience in centre based youth work and/or work with young people.
