Community Connections

About the project

The Community Connectors work in partnership with Teignbridge District Council to support Teignbridge residents to build connections with local community and voluntary organisations.

They signpost, refer and share information so that residents who find themselves isolated, displaced, resettling or homeless can access the support of the many wonderful and generous local community groups in the Teignbridge district. Support is tailored to the needs of the family or individual with the aim of reducing immediate pressure and building longer term networks of support within the community. Alongside statutory services, these connections are vital in increasing access to and engagement with specialist support.

About the team

Steve and Sally work across Teignbridge, both in the district council offices and the wider community. They work closely with the Community Development Team to link in with initiatives which will best benefit their target group.
