Sport England have extended their Places and Spaces funding to all clubs and organisations in England.
With the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games coming round the corner. Sport England are offering sports clubs or organisations the opportunity to receive up to £10,000 in +Extra Funding.
Following the huge success for clubs and organisations across the Midlands, Sport England have now made the funding available across England from today.
The Places and Spaces funding is here to help create or improve community sport facilities, bring communities together and help celebrate the legacy of the Commonwealth Games. All eligible projects should be for the benefit of local communities, in order to enable more people to be physically active.
To be eligible to apply, organisations must be:
• Local sports clubs
• Charities, community, voluntary and social enterprise sector organisations that deliver sport and/or physical activity in their community, including organisations that are not solely or primarily sports organisations
• Town or parish councils delivering activity within their community
• Education establishments that provide access for their whole community.
