We are pleased to have been supported by The National Lottery Community Fund to support a new programme of work to support Digital Inclusion across Teignbridge.
During the Covid-19 crisis many Voluntary and Community Sector organisations in South Devon closed down face to face services, moved to home-working and sought to support their clients digitally. A recent review of their plans for the services in the future, their ‘new norm’, has identified some desire to deliver more of their activities using digital approaches. Funding has been awarded to support our sector in moving forward digitally and users of voluntary and community support in accessing services digitally.
Our project has 4 key priorities:
- Support Voluntary and Community Groups to identify where services can be delivered digitally and in the design of those services
- Support people to access services digitally through the provision of both physical equipment and IT capability and skills assessments and training
- Engage and Support Partner Programmes – NHS, Local Authorities, Housing Providers, Specialist Voluntary and Community Sector Providers and Care Providers
- Source Technology based on the need of the individual and the voluntary and community organisations they interact with
