ACCESSIBILITY

We have tried to make our website easier to navigate around,
this includes: Improved web colour contrasts for visually
impaired users

Standard font, Arial, used
for body text, making it easier to read

We use simple descriptive
text for hyperlinks

We minimise the use of
Flash or frames on the main site, as these can cause
problems for screen readers and are difficult for special
browsers to interpret.
Alter your browser settings
If you want
to alter the way you view a website, you can use your browser to
change the text size, colour, background colour or to switch off
graphics. You can change these settings by selecting from the
options available in your browser toolbar. The following tips
may help you change settings.
Internet
Explorer

Go to ‘Tools‘ on your
browser menu and select ‘Internet Options‘, then, on the
‘General‘ tab, select ‘Accessibility‘

Under the ‘Formatting‘ tab,
check all 3 boxes and select ‘OK‘ on the Accessibility box

Then select ‘OK‘ on the
Internet Options box
-
Finally select ‘Refresh‘,
which will disable style sheets
-
You can now select ‘View‘
from your browser menu, and then ‘Text size‘ to choose the
size to suit
Netscape
Navigator/Communicator
-
Click ‘View’ to open the View menu or press ‘Alt’ and V
-
Select the ‘Text Size’ option or select by pressing ‘X’
-
Choose your preferred text size using your mouse or use the
up and down arrow keys

Click to select the test size or press ‘Enter’
-
The text size should change to reflect your choice

Fox

Click ‘View’
to open the View menu

Select the
‘Text Size’ option

‘Increase’ or ‘Decrease’

The text on
your site should change to reflect your choice
Safari

Click ‘View’ to
open the View menu

Click on ‘Make
Text Bigger’ or ‘Make Text Smaller’ or to use the keyboard
shortcuts select ‘Apple’ and ‘+’ (plus) or ‘Apple’ and ‘-‘
(minus)

The text on your
site should change to reflect your choice
