CASSPLUS Co-ordinator

Salary £21,457 (pro-rata)

We are an independent, local charity which operates from Magistrates Courts in Plymouth, Truro and Bodmin. We work mainly, though not exclusively, with offenders and their families and help to provide supported sign-posting to local specialist services. We are delighted to offer an opportunity for service development in Newton Abbot, in Devon.

This part time (22.5 hours per week) position is funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Initially funded for two years, there is potential for this role to become permanent.

The role will include;

  •  Delivery of services at courts;
  • Management and development of volunteers;
  • Working with clients;
  • Networking with partner organisations;

This requires;

  • Flexibility and commitment;
  • Genuine interest in the client group and support organisations;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Understanding of the values of the charitable sector.

The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly and to complete an enhanced DBS check as they will be working with vulnerable adults. Use of a car is essential.

Home Help Service Co-ordinator

Our Home Help Service is a real lifeline to many people, offering practical support with things like cleaning, laundry and shopping. The Home Help Service is designed to keep our clients living at home as independently as possible for as long as possible and is often an important stepping stone to other services.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Recruiting and supporting a small team of Home Help staff
  • Collating time sheets and sending out monthly invoices
  • Promoting the service to potential clients and referrers

The role is for 12 hours per week at £9.62 per hour, based in the Coastal Information Centre at Teignmouth Hospital.

Accounts Assistant

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant for our day-to-day book keeping and accounts, including payroll, invoicing, banking and more. This role is essential to help our charity run smoothly so that we can continue to support the people in the community who need us most.

The role is for 8 hours per week at £8.50 per hour, based in the Coastal Information Centre at Teignmouth Hospital.
